ABOUT

Hi, I'm Lauren!
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, when my face wasn't shoved in a good book or my textbooks, I was falling in love with endurance sports. Why? They pose constant physical and mental challenges that can always be overcome with hard work and consistency to achieve short- and long-term goals.
As such, I began my college career as a student-athlete, competing on the cross country and track teams at Marquette University, specializing in the 5k/6k for cross country and 10k for track. While there, the drive I felt for my sport was overtly missing in my education.
Of course, this led me to broadly explore my interests -- changing my major three times in three semesters to fill the void. But to my surprise, a severe injury my sophomore year pushed me to reflect on this more deeply, transfer to Cornell University, and put running on the back-burner.
I soon realized that the athlete in me craves a challenge, enjoys investigating methods I can utilize to best achieve my goals, values sharing my findings with the community around me, and thrives when working with others, even outside of sports.
As a recent Cornell grad and eager professional, I yearn to carry out similar actions in integrated marketing and communications work. For now, I look forward to sharing my journey in doing so here with you!
